I’m Amanda Roeben.
From the time I was a child, I’ve been an advocate for those who have been treated unjustly. Over the years, I have been part of many events, movements, and offerings that spread awareness about the mistreatment, violence, and abuse that young girls and women are facing. My practice is a culmination of my own healing spiral and devotion to uplifting girls, women, and the sacred feminine. Here you will find 1:1 support, courses, workshops, and retreats for women who are ready to remember their magick.
Lover of moon, magick, and the mysteries
I grew up in Visalia, California. As a little girl, I loved anything moon, magick, potions, shapeshifting, fairy or dragon. As an adult navigating a PTSD diagnosis and multiple pelvic health conditions, these childhood loves helped bring me back into health and vitality which is why my work includes the unseen and natural world. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Somatic and Myofascial Release Therapist, Women’s Work Leader, Holistic Pelvic CareTM provider, and Cosmic Feminine Facilitator. The last decade has been a dedication to the study, practice, and embodiment of holistic healing for women. After graduating from UC Berkeley and writing a thesis about the historical, psychological, anthropological, and financial perspectives of the systematic suppression of othering that takes place in our society, it became very clear to me that women’s health and wellbeing was seriously lacking well-trained providers and treatments that actually work. My work in the world now seeks to fill in those gaps so that women may thrive.
My Approach
Over the last 12 years of supporting women, I’ve sought out various trainings where I felt there were real gaps in women’s health and healing, specifically those that relate to our bodies. My work has also emerged from my own life experience so I hold this work with deep compassion and integrity. The work I offer is gentle but goes bone deep and creates change at the cellular level. It is rooted in cutting edge science and the wise women traditions of Old Europe. It is here to restore women’s vitality and remind them of their magick.
As a licensed therapist, I’ve trained in EMDR, Brainspotting, Internal Family Systems, Polyvagal theory, Body-based psychotherapy, and Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy. As I’ve pursued a more holistic path specifically tailored to women, I’ve trained in JFB’s Myofascial Release, Gracie Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for Women’s Empowerment and Self Defense, the Chek Institutes Holistic lifestyle coaching, Reiki, Holistic Pelvic CareTM, and have become a Cosmic Feminine Facilitator. These various threads of training allow me to weave together a unique healing approach that brings in the mind, body, spirit, cosmos, and earth.
As a 6/2 Generator with 4 houses and rising sign in Scorpio, I am here for the messy, deep, beautiful, and mystical parts of life. I believe that women making the descent from their minds into their bodies and wombs is the medicine this world needs. I have witnessed what happens when women embody their wombs, pelvic bowls, and feminine landscapes— they are reunited with their joy, creativity, ancestry, earth connection, and magick. This is my passion and mission in life.
Who I am Now.
I am a healer, mama, folk herbalist, martial artist, and aspiring frame drum player. I live in Visalia, California with my daughter, partner, and two dogs—Ollie and Scout. We enjoy a life that engages the natural world as much as possible and make every effort to live a slower cyclical life. We love the moon so much that she is my daughter’s namesake. We also enjoy watching Toy Story and the occasional Disneyland trip.
My partner and I dream one day to facilitate retreats for men and women to assist in healing the rift that has been created between men and women and mama earth. We believe that partnership is the natural way of things, not domination, extraction, and suppression.
Most days of the week, you are likely to catch me barefoot running after my toddler or figuring out what type of tree or plant is growing somewhere. Besides my family and my work, what brings me joy is the ocean, the smell of freshly brewed coffee, and stone fruit season.
